Formation of the Heart

This heart is actually meant to be coming together, not exploding. My friend knew this was a tough thing to represent in a still image, and this presented a big artistic challenge for me back when we started this piece, a few years ago. Had it been started right now it probably would have been different, but I got to go back into it lately and thought it turned out very cool regardless, so here it is. (PS--Challenge to all tattooers: how would you represent specific directional motion in a piece without the visual aid of arrows or diagrams???)
