Forest Fantasy Sleeve

This entire sleeve is based on and inspired by the amazing art of Daniel Merriam (www.danielmerriam.com). I normally don't like reproducing other artists' work, but this was an exception, as the subject matter was very interesting and unique, I was able to take artistic liberties with most of it, and it's on a close friend of mine. Therefore what you see here is a mix of reproduction work and things interpreted into my own style--all in all, about 3 layers of fine-tuning throughout due to the intricacy involved, and around 1 year in the making. (Winner: 1st place Best Sleeve at Sacramento tattoo convention 6/04, 3rd place Best Sleeve at Hell City Convention 6/04)
